Acu Rate’s products close the gap between basic roller clamp infusion, and much more costly but precise, pump-enabled infusion. Acu Rate provides a cost-effecitve, affordable alternative for use in a number of large and growing markets.

1. Acu Rate’s flow control device in many instances can replace electric pumps, and other costly flow control devices, at a minimal additional cost. Consequently Acu Rate’s controllers add substantial value to what is now a very basic (“commodity”) product - a simple IV set. It thereby opens up the market for IV to a vast market of “customers” who cannot afford the alternatives.
2. Acu Rate’s flow control devices can be customised for use in a wide range of applications in addition to “IV”, including anaesthesia, administration of other pharmaceuticals, and in dialysis and other forms of infusion. Consequently the technology can be licensed for multiple applications, and in multiple geographical markets.

Acu Rate effectively provides a “disruptive” technology, which transforms a simple IV set into a much more attractive alternative than other (more costly) alternatives to achieve a very significant lift in value.

By offering an inexpensive replacement for the flow control means that are currently used to deliver intravenously (to infusion or “IV”) solutions, Acu Rate’s technology simplifies the process, cutting out considerable (nurse and maintenance technician) labour costs and enabling care by lesser trained assistants in nursing and wider use of home care.
