Dr Abby Bloom, MPH, PhD Director and CEO

Abby is an experienced health and medical device professional, and has been successfully commercializing innovative Australian biomedical devices for many years.  A seasoned hospital and healthcare executive, Abby has worked in over 25 countries. She has an in-depth understanding of the differing healthcare needs, constraints and applications of Acu Rate’s technology.

Zoran Milijasevic , B.Eng. – Director, Technology Development

Zoran is one of Australia’s leading medical device innovators, with over 25 years experience in design, development and preparation for manufacture of medical devices. Zoran has worked with ResMed, Cochlear, Macnaught Medical, Neopraxis, VASO Products and Telectronics. His ingenious designs can be found in a range of medical devices that lead in their respective fields, including cochlear implants, neural/pain management devices, cardiac assist devices, stents and blood and IV flow products.

Johnathon Choi, B. Eng (Biomed) – Director, R&D and Clinical Applications

Johnathon has experience across a range of vascular and implantable medical devices. In his capacity with Acu Rate he is responsible for overseeing development and testing of all products. He works closely with Acu Rate’s medical and veterinary advisors and is Acu Rate’s liaison with the hospitals and other centres where research is conducted on Acu Rate’s devices.
