Acu Rate in Disaster Preparedness and Military Use: Acu Rate participated in an AusTrade-sponsored mission to the USA in July 2011, in which Acu Rate showcased its products at a major military medicine conference, and subsequently in meetings with high-level US military personnel. Emergency physicians, hospital nurses, field medics, and home care supervisors expressed interest in using – including trialling – Acu Rate’s products, with requests to trial the device under the unusual conditions in which the military requires accurate and safe infusion. For disaster preparedness – a field that includes both natural disasters in the USA and “humanitarian assistance” in poor countries devastated by war, famine and natural disaster -  Acu Rate has entered discussions with a major US-based distributor.
